I have been teaching Yoga for 10 years and will always be a grateful and passionate student. After 12 years in the film, tv and theatre industry working long hours and travelling long distances, I found myself in a state of burnout and physical exhaustion. I took myself to a yoga class in 2004 and haven't looked back since.

Yoga is the definitive gift that keeps on giving. I am mentally, physically and spiritually stronger than I have ever been and teaching is a way of passing on the legacy I have learnt from many other spiritual warriors in the field. I am committed to facilitating the release of suffering and helping people get connected,  find their peace of mind and build their inner strength.

I am a fully qualified and registered Yoga  Alliance Teacher, passionate about my students receiving all the benefits yoga has to offer. My Yoga journey started in 1989 when I was 16 practising in a cold school hall. I cherished Tuesday evenings with my flexible yoga teacher Johanna who was well into her 70's. She would warm us up by twisting and bending our bodies, and then relax us with her music, poetry and  philosophy. It was magical and inspiring. I continue to study and practice with some amazing people. In 1999 I started The Kai Garden Co (www.kaigarden.co.uk) which continues to thrive today and continued with yoga to combat the lower back pain and to ease the pressure of running a business. In 2009 I took a teacher training course with June Mitchell from CYS so that I could share my knowledge and experience of yoga with others. I have studied with the CYS Yoga school with Ashtanga Vinyasa as my primary practise in addition to studying Hatha, Sivananda, Iyengar and Yoga Flow. I have trained with Vicky Oliver of WhYoga who devised the popular Yoga Bananas for children I have also studied Pregnancy Yoga with Whyoga and specialize in restorative Yoga with many of my students who are living with athritis and other related issues. I tailor make my classes so that every student works within their limits but encourage them to challenge themselves gently into a greater awareness and understanding of their bodies and minds as a whole.

‘Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves..

Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

Your playing small does not serve the world.

There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking,

so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We were born to make manifest

the glory of creation that is within us.

It’s not just in some of us,

 it’s in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,

we unconsciously give

other people permission to do he same.

As we’re liberated from our own fear,

our presence automatically liberates others’
